Made in America, Talley Manufacturing’s Steel Bases for the Remington 700 actions  are machined entirely from high grade solid bar stock steel to give the highest strength, holding power and durability.  The double recoil shoulder design of the Talley Base holds your scope with absolute rigidity under severe recoil. The base is checked and rechecked by our quality control manager. This is to ensure the best fit possible to your firearm. This base system is required with either Talley Quick-Detachable or Talley Fixed Rings. These bases will give your rifle the classics look with a performance above all others.

Torque Recommendations?

• Remington 700 Bases to Action: Torque can depend on the receiver. Please check with the rifle manufacturer  to verify allowable torque into receiver. Always make sure your torque wrench is calibrated, Talley Mfg is not responsible for damage caused to scopes or firearms due to over torquing

Loctite?

• Although not always necessary, using Loctite for the screws going in the receiver is perfectly fine. We do not recommend using anything stronger than Loctite Blue 242. We do not recommend using Loctite on the ring screws. Always test fit before applying any Loctite.
